What are your opening times?
 

Booking through our MCP Mobility Hire website (www.mcpmobilityhire.co.uk) is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. If you need to speak to us directly, please call us during normal business hours 9am – 5.30pm Monday to Saturday

 

I am staying at a Center Parcs holiday site, how do I hire a mobility scooter?
 

Always contact Center Parcs in the first instance, their cycle centres will be able to assist you. If the site has no availability they will re-direct you to the MCP mobility site to check for availability

 

Where can I pick up my mobility scooter?
 

Your booking confirmation and email will state the specific pickup & drop off location(s). (For Center Parcs sites the pickup and drop off location is at the Center Parcs Cycle Centre).

 

What times can I pick up and return the mobility scooter?
 

Your booking confirmation and email will state the specific times for pickup and return, please adhere to these times as the next customers / hirers will be waiting. (For Center Parcs sites; pickups are normally from 2pm on Mondays and Fridays, returns are required by 10am on Mondays and Fridays).

 

What is the cost for the hire?
 

Please use our booking system to provide you with a quote and availability, your hire charge will depend on the duration of your booking and type of hire

 

Can I reserve a mobility scooter without paying?
 

To ensure availability to all customers we do not provide this facility, if you wish to guarantee your hire we recommend that you complete your booking in full.

(For Center Parcs sites, please ensure you have contacted the Center Parcs site in the first instance prior to booking through MCP).

 

Can I extend my hire?
 

If you wish to extend your hire please contact us directly by telephone +44 (0)1768 840993.

 

Can you deliver the mobility scooter to my house, chalet or holiday location?
 

We do not currently offer this service through our booking system, your booking confirmation and email will state the specific pickup & drop off location(s). (For Center Parcs sites the pickup and drop off location is the Center Parcs Cycle Centre).

 

What type of mobility scooter will I get and can you provide me with further details?
 

Our fleet of mobility scooters are all procured, managed and serviced to a high standard. We use a leading quality mobility scooter manufacturer. Types of mobility scooters may vary from hire to hire, but you will be guaranteed a Premium scooter which will be;

  • Mid sized, easy to drive
  • Road legal, suitable for use on pavements, pathways and passages
  • Swivel seat, weight capacity restricted to 18 stone (please call direct for alternative solutions)
  • Front and rear lighting including indicators
  • Front basket (max storage capacity 5kg)
  • Rear storage bag complete with walking stick holder (max storage capacity 10kg)
  • 240v - 12/ 24v charger
  • Mobility scooter protective rain cover

 

Is my mobility scooter hire insured?
 

Your mobility scooter hire does not include insurance, MCP mobility is unable to offer this feature at present, however your home or personal insurance may provide you with cover.

 

What happens if the mobility scooter has a fault or breakdown?
 

Please notify MCP Mobility Hire directly by telephone +44 (0)1768 840993. (For Center Parcs bookings, please notify their Cycle Center staff immediately for assistance)

 

What types of payment do you accept and where do I pay my deposit?
 

We accept most types of debit and credit cards, however we do not accept AMEX.

 

How do my I charge my mobility scooter?
 

Your mobility scooter comes with a dedicated charger, please plug into the mobility charging socket and use with a 240v 3 pin UK plug. Instructions will be provided during pickup.

 

Is there a maximum weight restriction for mobility scooter riders?
 

The weight restriction is 18 Stone / 114Kg for our standard mobility scooters. If this does not meet your requirements, please contact us directly to discuss alternative options by telephone +44 (0)1768 840993.

 

What age do I need to be to drive a mobility scooter?
 

The minimum age restriction is 16 years old for our mobility scooters.
